When To Call Hatzala

What Should You Expect When You Call Hatzala?

Hatzala Beit Shemesh is the only organization in the country that operates independently from Magen Dovid Adom. This means that we maintain a fleet of our own private ambulances to provide you with emergency transportation to your local Kupat Cholim, Terem, or hospital, depending on the situation and what your needs are.

Hatzala Beit Shemesh dispatches a locally based team and ambulance as needed on every call that we respond to, which means that we can begin transportation to a medical facility or doctors office in a quick and expedient manner.

What Happens When I Call For Help?

Typically when a call is placed the following will happen: A professionally trained dispatcher will answer your call, and ask you a couple of questions, such as your address, what the problem is, and other important questions regarding the emergency.  The dispatcher will then send units to your location. Finally units arrive at your door as quickly as possible.

Please note: It is important for the dispatcher to get all the information they need. Therefore:

Stay Calm

Make sure you stay calm. When in an emergency situation keeping cool and calm until the EMT gets to you will make things much easier.

Answer All The Questions

When on the phone with the dispatcher make sure to answer all their questions to the best of your abilities.

Tell Us Your Complete Address

Make sure to tell the dispatch exactly where you are located in order for our teams to get to you right away.

DO NOT HANG UP

It is very important that you do not hang up the phone! There may be some times where the dispatcher needs to relay additional information or instructions. Always send someone outside to flag down the responding units
